What are Venetian Blinds?

Venetian Blinds are the most popular of all the window blinds ever invented. They are made up of individual slats manage by a pull-cord; Once the cord is pulled, a control pulley at the top fixture would open all the slats simultaneously.

One may not know they're called "Venetian Blinds" but once you see them, you can't help, but say, "Oh those things!"

You see them in average homes, in movies involving stakeouts and in cheap plastic replicas in Home Improvement stores.

So if they have such a reputation for being a mediocre and cheap kind of window treatment- why even go for Venetian Blinds?

Because Venetian Blinds can actually look dramatic and opulent.

That is, if you consider making an investment with properly fitted and sturdy Venetian Blinds. For now, do avoid the bargain bins and the plastic ones, they won't do your home any justice.
